The comic

A young lad finds mysterious flotsam washed up on a beach in Holland. He puts it in a box that he finds near the ice cream stall and brings it, together with a bottle containing a message that was also floating nearby, to his grandfather’s workshop.

The message in the bottle talks about a specialist watchmaker, and the GPS co-ordinates on the Dutch delivery bike describe how to get to his workshop… When the lad gets there, the spirit of the flotsam re-unites with that of the watch astronomer-inventor, who has a pince-nez perched on his nose. He explains the functions of the ochs und junior settimana junior with the help of his flying projector, then gives his young friend one of the watches as a reward for having helped out.

The story was entirely dreamt up and drawn by Sjoerd van Rooijen – entirely dreamt up…?
