Ludwig Oechslin has designed a platform that allows you to choose from a range of functions, materials and colors. The ochs und junior design tool allows you to do this online, then print the results and see how they look on your wrist.

Please note that the colors on your screen and on paper can differ slightly from the finished product.

Begin with the face – the dial: our design tool offers a choice of 58 colors that you can select by clicking. We can also supply other colors on request. If you need good visibility at night, go for high contrast between the dial and the hands/indices. Ludwig Oechslin’s prototypes feature a contrast between the patination of the brass dials and the milling of the indices. This, too, is available on request.

The ochs und junior design tool offers a choice of 10 hand colors: all are coated with luminescent Super-LumiNova. The lighter the color, the higher the luminescence: the colors white, orange, yellow, beige and light-blue are well suited to night-time legibility. Hands in patinated brass or solid white gold are available on request. Contact us for details of the color codes.

You get a great result if the hands and the indices are in the same color. You are free to choose other combinations, though. There may be an extra charge depending on your choice – please contact us.

Orange is the best choice here, no matter what the other colors are. If, though, the dial is similar in hue to orange, then you should choose a different color / different colors for better contrast. You also need to ensure there is enough contrast with the titanium date disk.

Our watches are available in two sizes: 42mm and 39mm. Both are suitable for the male as well as the female wrist – we think they are perfectly proportioned and timeless either way. The case can be titanium or silver. For perfect functionality we recommend titanium – light, tough and anti-allergenic. For a case that will acquire a characterful patina over the years, go for the silver.

You can choose the color of the leather, the stitching and the size. ochs und junior uses eco-tanned leather that’s free from heavy metals. We source ours from Ecopell in southern Germany. It comes with an ECARF Seal of Quality from the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation and is Biokreis certified. We carry most of the available colors and sizes in stock. If we don’t have the one you want, we’ll get it for you. As an alternative or as a spare, we offer a strap in black or orange caoutchouc rubber.

Long: the long buckle is an ochs und junior innovation and needs no loops! After wearing the watch for two or three days, the strap fits like a glove. The strap width is tailored to the distance between the case lugs.

Short: this is the classic pin buckle. It’s available on request on a leather strap and as standard on a caoutchouc strap.
